Diary of Homo sapiens sapiens

Homo sapiens sapiens or human beings are without a doubt one of the strangest of creations. They don't just stay alive, they change themselves, change their environment, create cultures, create tools, they create the means for their survival. This is an attempt to capture the random moments from random lives of completely random people.

Bandhawgarh diaries.

Bandhawgarh national park has a large biodiversity. The density of the tiger population at Bandhavgarh is one of the highest known in India. The park has a large breeding population of leopards, and various species of deer. Maharaja Martand Singh of Rewa captured the first white tiger in this region in 1951. This white tiger, Mohan, is now stuffed and on display in the palace of the Maharajas of Rewa.

Tadoba tales..

Tadoba-andhari Tiger Reserve is the pristine and unique eco-system situated in the Chandrapur district of the Maharashtra State of India. The Reserve contains some of the best of forest tracks and endowed with rich biodiversity. It is famous for its natural heritage. Tadoba-andhari Tiger Reserve is the second Tiger Reserve in the State.
Here are some of the images I made in Tadoba-Andhari Tiger reserve.

1.Katezari male, or popularly known as Amitabh is surely one of the most handsome male of tadoba!

The singing stones.

Stones..as we generally see are very drab, neglected objects (except geologists!). But there are some places where this same neglected, 'defense from dogs' tool turns into a marvel of art. Last month I got a chance to visit 3 of such places Agra, khajuraho and Orchha. Agra, as we all know has a marble marvel where at other two places there are sandstones.
Though I have titled it 'The singing stones', I have also included the paintings from Palace at Orchha, because they are worth a visit! (For more info on Orchha - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orchha )

The sunrise.

Interactions.

Many times when people visit historical places all we can see are the images of the monument, and in my personal opinion that is a bit monotonous. So I decided to focus on the interaction of the people with that place, what they do when they visit these places and how everyone has its own perception about the place!
And yes there are some some shots where there are no people in the frame, Those are my own perceptions, my own interactions..

The Minar.

Behind the food shoot..

One good photograph combines the effort of not only the photographers but many others who contribute their part! Here are some of the contributors to recent food shoot for cafe Goodluck,Deccan.

Macro mania!

Macro photography is an addiction like no other genre of photography. There is so much unseen, unknown world of insects that each image you take just fascinates you! Here are macro images shot by me.(I am not at all an entomologist, so ids of some insects or the terms while describing them may be wrong, if you have a correct information please comment on the post with image number.)

1.Damsel fly with a kill of silver orb spider. Though smaller than dragonflies, damsel flies are also efficient killers!
